2007 Christmas Commentary - Rare Edition

This rare edition was published late (in fact, it almost was never published) and had minimal distribution. . . Few have ever viewed this. . .

Another oldie (without photos) but goodie. . .

Before we got fancy with technology, we had to manually add photos. . . here's the 2001 text version. . .

2002 Christmas Commentary

2003 Christmas Commentary

2005 Christmas Commentary

2004 was a hectic year and missed having a Christmas update. . . this 2005 edition captures some of the news. . .

2006 Christmas Commentary

All those years of Christmas rants! I thought I'd experiment with posting the archives for you. . .

Playing for Change

Face it. . . it really is true that you can lead a horse to water but can't make him drink. In this case, the horse is Walker. Holt and I recently watched a Bill Moyers interview with Mark Johnson, the producer of the "Playing for Change: Peace through Music" documentary. It both moved and inspired me; reinstated some faith in humanity. Naturally, I sent the link to Walker knowing how interested he would be. . . oh well, must be an old woman thing. Perhaps you are interested. . . for the old women, here's the Bill Moyers interview link with the story and the video. . .

For others, the "cut to the chase" folks, here's a YouTube link to one of the Playing for Change videos, (Stand by Me).

By the way,"Playing for Change: Peace though Music" is the second film directed by Mark Johnson and Jonathan Walls. Their previous film, titled Playing for Change: A Cinematic Discovery of Street Music was released in 2005, and is currently available through Netflix.

New Year, New Blog

Well, with the start of 2009 I guess I'm making a blog comeback. For the most part, 2008 was a year I could do without so as of today, New Years Day, we're starting fresh! New Years Resolutions? I think I'll stay away from that topic for awhile.

ABOUT ME

It's Holt and me. . . day to day & year to year (37 years this year). Over time and geography, we couldn't ask for more. We live for our kids, grandkids, family, dogs, fish, turtles, and cat. And friends. . . did I mention that they are, without a doubt, the best one could ask for?
